How it works
The Learn, Challenge, Share loop
The Infinity Lab is a digital AI lab where students learn by doing. They move through a simple loop: Learn, Challenge, Share.
Learn
Short, interactive courses build understanding through hands-on practice, not passive watching.
Challenge
Students apply what they learn to real-world projects, such as launching a business idea. More projects, like publishing a comic book or tackling a local environmental issue, are coming in the pilot. Each one gives them a repeatable framework for turning an idea into something real.
Share
Students publish their work, including the attempts that didn't work, and learn from how their peers approached the same problem.
The Play
Inside a coaching session
At the heart of every step is the Play: a guided AI conversation that coaches a student through a task instead of completing it for them. Our AI is designed not to hand over a substantive answer on the first pass. Students work through several rounds of their own thinking first, so their judgement and ideas show up in everything they build.
The Play
Illustrative example
Student
I want my project to be about flooding near our school. What should I do?
Coach
What have you noticed yourself when it floods? Who is most affected?
Student
The path to the bus stop floods first, so the younger students walk the long way round.
Coach
What would a good result look like by the end of term? What could you test this week, and what might stop it working?

Only conversations a student chooses to save appear here.
Safeguarding alert
Session pausedStudent C's session is paused. The school's safeguarding contact has been emailed.
The alert doesn't include what the student wrote.
Accounts
Schools create student accounts. Students can't sign themselves up.
Matched to age
Students see only the courses and challenges set for their age band.
Progress
Teachers see the progress and work of the students assigned to them. School administrators see all students in their school.
Saved conversations
Teachers see the AI conversations a student has chosen to save. Students are told this, and can delete a saved conversation.
Safeguarding alerts
If the content filter detects signs of self-harm or suicide risk, the session is paused. The school's safeguarding contact is emailed, and the student's teachers and administrators get an alert; neither includes what the student wrote.
Content filter
Every student message and every AI reply passes through a content filter, and anything flagged is blocked.
For students
What students keep
Every project becomes part of a student's portfolio, with certificates and badges that show what they achieved.
Portfolio
Students build things that matter and keep the evidence of what they made.
Certificates and badges
Badges and scores aren't ranked or compared between students.
Downloads
Students can download their work as Word files.
